Shoe Heels, Health and Appearance

Heels, Health and Appearance
Super-stilettos have long been thought to ruin ladies' feet, but now experts warn that flat shoes can be just as dangerous. Although comfortable, flat shoes can cause severe foot pain, bunions, shooting pains in the shins, back aches and even arthritis. According to Mike O'Neill, consultant podiatric surgeon and spokesman for the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, foot injuries are on a rise, courtesy ballet pumps and flip-flops. O'Neill explains: "Very flat shoes worn for long periods of time can cause problems, and the same is true for very high heels. The feet aren't designed to work in either. The ideal heel size is approximately an inch."

So Ladies, please ditch those ugly frumpy flat shoes and listen to the doctors and pull out your shoes with small heels. Not only will they improve your posture and provide a great frame for your overall appearance, they will, in fact, be better for your feet health.

Please don't get me wrong, I think flats are fine to wear for a few hours a week when matched with three quarter length pants while running boring errands, but the problem arises when people wear them for six months at a time at every possible occasion. This is a crime to your appearance and your feet health. Carla Bruni, First Lady of France, please take notice!!
