Homemade Banana Bread Protein Shake

Imagine your favorite banana bread whipped up into a thick and nourishing drink — that’s what you get with this protein shake.

Main Protein Source: Almond butter + raw cashews
Protein Boosters: Ground flax seed + whole oats.  If you still want even more protein, add a scoop of vanilla flavored protein powder.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup almond milk
2 tbs almond butter
1/4 cup raw cashew (soaked overnight)
1 medium size frozen banana
2 tbs whole oats
1 tbs ground flax
1 pitted dried date
cinnamon
Ice

Instructions:

Start by cutting banana into large chunks and then combine it with the rest of the ingredients, including a small pinch of cinnamon, in a blender until you achieve a smooth consistency of your liking. Top with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon before serving. 

If you want extra protein, add a scoop of vanilla flavored protein powder.
