Clothing Tips For Redheads

Clothing Tips For Redheads

Stigma Against Red Heads

Throughout history, redheadedness has been associated with negative traits such as:
"Redheaded women are either violent or false, and usually are both." They have been targeted as witches, deemed as 'naturally' quick-tempered, and viewed as not being the product of wedlock.

More benign stereotypes of redheads include the idea that they are more promiscuous, wilder, more passionate, and loud-mouthed. Also, redheaded women are more likely to be the subject of said stigma than redheaded men. Interestingly, among women who dye their hair, more women choose red shades than either blonde or brunette.

So if you are a redhead, follow the guide below to ensure that you overcome the unfair bias against you by looking the very best you can through wearing colors that complement and not clash with your hair color.

Colors Complementing Red Hair

Most natural redheads will already have an idea which colors will complement their hair and complexion. If you have dyed your hair red recently, however, some items in your wardrobe might clash with your new color and make your complexion look sallow.

If you have true red, auburn or copper hair
You will probably have an ivory, yellowish or golden undertone to your skin if one of these reds is your natural color or you have chosen a dye that complements your complexion. You might have brown, hazel, green or clear blue eyes, and possibly freckles. Natural and earth tones such as beiges, browns, camel, dark and olive greens, orange reds and gold look good on you, while greys, taupe, purple, navy, pink or bright reds will probably not suit you that well.
The 'universal color' black can make your face look sallow, so wear it for skirts, trousers and accessories rather than close to your face. If you have a black dress, a jacket or shawl in one of the above colors can still make your face glow.

If you have strawberry blonde or light auburn hair
You will probably have peach or golden undertones to your skin and green or blue eyes if you have (or chose!) one of these colors. You can wear most spring colors: apricot, beige, golden yellows and peachy pinks, but marine and violet blues or aqua can also look great on you. Warm greys work for you, but bluish and dark grey, plum and wine colors will not go so well with your complexion.

To clash or not to clash
There seems to be a debate on whether redheads should wear colors that clash with their hair, such as pink and purple. I do not personally recommend going for a clash, but pale pinks can look good on darker redheads whose color is not too coppery if the paler pink is closer to the face.  This approach can allow you to carry off an entirely pink outfit with a more intensely pink colored skirt, for example.  Very dark, muted purples and lilac can also work with red hair, although will predominantly suit the strawberry blonde and light auburn type described above.

Make them green with envy
It seems that there is at least one complementing shade of green for about every shade of red hair. Green is very versatile and looks good on almost any redhead - the lighter the shade of your hair, the lighter the green you should go for. Warmer greens suit warmer complexions.
You can also work out your color type (spring, summer, autumn or winter) and combine them with the above tips to determine the colors to choose from. If you really love a color that doesn't go well with your hair, wear it as far away from the face as possible or accessorize in that color - shoes, handbags, belts ...

Benefits of Invisalign for Straightening Teeth

.

Benefits of Invisalign

If you are considering orthodontic options to straighten your teeth, and Invisalign is one of the options that you are considering, then understanding the benefits of Invisalign is important. You need to be able to weigh the benefits of Invisalign against the benefits that are offered by other dental treatment options in order to determine which of these dental treatments is going to best benefit the integrity of your teeth and boost the beauty of your smile. There are a number of primary benefits of Invisalign that you should consider, so when it comes to comparing the benefits of Invisalign with the benefits of other orthodontic procedures and products, make sure that you address all of the following when consulting a dental expert:

•One of the greatest benefits of Invisalign is that the series of different clear aligners is custom made to suit your teeth, meaning that they will work perfectly for your teeth, and your teeth only. Each of the alignment trays is worn for a period of only two weeks before moving on to the next set.

•The most popular benefit of Invisalign is that they are practically clear, and therefore many people may not even realize that you are wearing them. These braces are intended to be as invisible as possible, making them a good fit for people who want to keep up appearances without wearing obvious braces.

•Another one of the benefits of Invisalign is the fact that unlike traditional braces, the Invisalign braces are completely removable. This gives you an increase in flexibility because you can eat and drink anything you like during your treatment simply by taking out the aligners beforehand. You can also remove the aligner trays so that you can brush your teeth and floss your teeth as you normally would. This will allow you to promote good oral hygiene and fresh breath, which is much more difficult when it comes to standard metal braces.

•An additional benefit of Invisalign is that unlike standard braces, there are no uncomfortable wires or metal brackets when it comes to the Invisalign system that could cause any kind of irritation within your mouth. Since your dentist visits during the treatment do not involve any adjustments of the metal or the wires, you will likely end up spending significantly less time hanging out in the dentist’s chair.

•One of the final benefits of Invisalign is that you will be able to view a virtual copy of your results and your treatment plan before you get the ball rolling, which will allow you to get a glimpse of how straight your teeth are going to end up looking when your treatment is eventually completed.
Now that you know the benefits of Invisalign, you should be better prepared to make a decision regarding your orthodontic treatment.

Enjoying Raspberries

Enjoying Raspberries

Raspberries may be a small fruit, but they’re packed with big benefits! These tiny nutritional powerhouses are a good source of fiber and are also rich in vitamin C. You can enjoy raspberries when try to lose or maintain weight. Enjoy a 3/4-cup serving, and avoid frozen products that contain added sugar. Here’s more information on raspberries, including some delicious ways to enjoy them.

Buying and Storing Raspberries

Most American raspberries found in the supermarket come from California between the months of June and October and are at their peak in the summer months. Raspberries, like many other berries, must be eaten within a day or two of purchase. Because they are often packaged in boxes that conceal decay, it's important to carefully examine the container: Take a peek at the berries you can see and make sure they are not damaged, spoiled, or moist. Look for stains or leaking on the box — this is an indication that the fruit inside is beginning to spoil. Raspberries should be plump and firm; not withered or crushed.

Once you get the berries home, the first thing you should do is remove them from the box. Inspect all the berries and discard those that are spoiled or crushed. Pat the remaining berries dry with a paper towel (don't wash them yet!), spread them out in a clean container, and cover with paper towels and plastic wrap. Raspberries can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator for one to two days. When you're ready to eat them, gently rinse under a light spray of cold water (running water could damage this delicate fruit). Raspberries can also be frozen and kept in the freezer for 10 months to a year. The beauty of freezing is that the berries will be readily available for recipes — no defrosting necessary!

Delicious Ways to Enjoy Raspberries

Rinse the raspberries and gently pat dry before eating. Raspberries can be served plain or sprinkled with a little sugar substitute. Add them to whole-grain cereals, steel-cut oatmeal, or nonfat (0%) plain Greek yogurt, or use them to garnish salads. Fresh or frozen berries can be used to make sauces, salad dressings, or smoothies. Here are some delicious ways you can incorporate raspberries into your meals:

For Breakfast: Raspberry-almond parfaits. In a food processor, combine 2/3 cup part-skim ricotta cheese, 2/3 cup nonfat plain (0%) Greek yogurt, and 2 tablespoons of sugar substitute. Process until smooth. Place 1/4 cup of raspberries in parfait glasses or dessert dishes. Spoon the ricotta and yogurt mixture over the raspberries. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon and a tablespoon of slivered almonds. Continue to layer the remaining raspberries and yogurt mixture with slivered almonds.

For Lunch or Dinner: Raspberry vinaigrette. By blending pureed and strained raspberries, extra-virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and some fresh lime juice you can easily prepare healthy raspberry vinaigrette. Drizzle this dressing over chicken breasts or a green salad.

For Dessert: Raspberries over fat free Greek yogurt. Sweeten the yogurt with a sugar substitute and add raspberries on top and enjoy this healthy guilt free dessert to your heart's content.
